After one week of intense mountain bike driving in South Africa, our group of 9 took a well-deserved break from the bikes and spent the whole day resting and enjoyable on the Rooiberg Lodge in a distant part of the nation.
Harry and Kirsten didn’t need a relaxation although… and they also determined to go on an extended bike journey on the roads surrounding the lodge. The remainder of us, nevertheless, spent our day enjoyable by the pool, studying a guide, taking pictures of the quite a few tortoises that we discovered strolling across the property and/or went climbing within the hills close by.
I spent the morning engaged on my pc in the principle lodge.
Within the afternoon I went on a hike with Julia (and Michi) and did some strolling round on the property on my own.
Within the night, all of us gathered collectively as soon as once more for a three-course meal within the lodge and ready for an additional day again on the bikes.
